See and Do

View the exhibitions overview for current and upcoming exhibitions.

Have a look at the programme or view the calendar to see what's on the day of your visit.

Find out what artworks are currently on view in the permanent exhibition.

No, it's not. Van Gogh's famous painting ‘Starry Night’ is part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

If you would like to see Terrace of a Café at Night on display, visit the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo.

That varies per visitor, and depends on whether or not a temporary exhibition is on view at the time. It takes an average of 90 minutes to properly see the permanent collection with Vincent van Gogh’s masterpieces.

The museum is open daily.

This also applies for cardholders (like the Dutch Museumkaart, VriendenLoterij VIP card, ICOM Card, and members of the Rembrandt Association).

Issues with online ticket bookings

There can be several reasons for this:

  • The e-mail with your tickets might have been moved to your spam or junk mail folder. If you use Gmail, messages like this are often placed in a special folder for advertisements or spam.

  • There might be a typing error in e.g. the e-mail address. Please contact us using the contact form. We will then correct the mistake and resend the tickets.

  • There may be a delay due to server problems. Check your email again later.

There may be several reasons preventing you from ordering your ticket online. Check your internet connection and refresh the web page. You can also try again using another browser. Sometimes it can help to restart your computer.

There can be several reasons for this:

  • You can only go to the next page in the ordering process if all the details have been filled in correctly. When paying by credit card, make sure that there are no spelling mistakes in the card-holder’s details. Don’t forget to enter your CVC code if you are paying with a credit card. If you’re paying via your bank, the bank details must be correct.
  • Please note: avoid double payments! Check whether the payment hasn’t actually gone through before trying to pay again.
  • Sometimes it helps to use a different browser.
  • Is your account balance too low or has your credit card company rejected the payment? Try again, possibly using a different card.

Following payment, you will receive an email with the tickets as attached PDF files.
